Oily Blend #5: Mature, Acne-prone

Oily skin that is maturing and acne-prone needs quick absorbing, age supporting, and moisturizing oils to sooth and prevent irritation, decrease redness, and balance without overstimulating sebum production. This blend revitalizes dull skin, treats scarring and inflammation, and protects skin from environmental stressors.

Hemp – Nourishes, replenishes, smooths, penetrates skin deeply to prevent moisture loss, balances skins oil production, soothes irritated skin, and may help decrease appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Pomegranate – Revitalizes dull or mature skin, assists with softening wrinkles, improves skin’s elasticity, and soothes minor skin irritations.

Pumpkin – A highly nourishing oil rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids protects skin from environmental stressors, regulates skins sebum production, helps soften fine facial lines and wrinkles, and may be helpful for inflamed skin.

Rosehip – Moisturizes, rejuvenates and heals damaged tissue (stretch marks, sunspots, acne), and treats scarring, wounds, and inflammation.

To use: massage oil into freshly cleaned, slightly damp skin. Applying any moisturizer to a moist face helps lock in water from the upper layers of the skin, preventing evaporation. Note that skin should not be wet or the skin will be unable to hold the oil. You can also apply a small amount of moisturizer to your neck and décolletage, massaging in an upwards stroking motion until completely absorbed. The gentle massage will give your skin an added circulation boost.
