Mature Skin

Mature skin needs gentle, regenerative, and restoring oils to keep skin youthful, supple, smooth, and balanced. Lightweight and balanced oleic and linoleic oils work best to hydrate skin and decrease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Although maturing skin benefits most from slow absorbing oils, we formulate our age-supporting blends with quick absorbing oils suitable for your skin type for a shorter skin care routine.

We use: sunflower, pomegranate, hemp, rosehip, argan, sea buckthorn, watermelon, meadowfoam, pumpkin, olive, and red raspberry in our mature blends. Carrier Oils for Custom Blends describes the properties of each of these oils.

Do I Have Mature Skin?

You have maturing skin if you spend a lot of time in cities, outdoors with the elements, or are at least thirty five years old.

Mature Skin Characteristics

When we say mature, we mean skin that has been exposed to the elements over the years. We want to help you take care of the normal wear and tear associated with aging. Our “mature” oils will give your skin a different kind of love. We do not mean that our products are anti-aging, but we do want to support your skin on its lifelong journey. Maturing skin is normal and occurs across all skin types. Skin can be identified as mature if notice the following attributes:

  • Tone becomes more fragile, finer, and uneven
  • Skin has more wrinkles and fine lines
  • Skin has less elasticity
